形態特徵

• A scandent shrub. Stems densely brownish tomentose, with minute prickles up to 1 mm long.
• Leaves simple, broadly ovate in outline, 10–17 cm long, 7–11 cm wide, 5-lobed, acute, deeply cordate and 5-nerved at base, the margin serrate; the midrib and veins slightly impressed above, raised beneath, the veinlets obscure on both surfaces; upper surface dark-brownish, densely hirsute on the midrib and veins only, lower surface densely golden-brownish tomentose; petiole 3–8 cm long; stipules obovate, 1–1.5 cm long, deeply divided.
• Flowers in short racemes, axillary or terminal; calyx cupular, the lobes triangular to ovate, 8–10 mm long, lacerate at apex, brownish villose outside, tomentose inside; petals elliptic, 7–10 mm long, 4–6 mm wide.

分布

• 台灣 : Taiwan, in northern part of the island at altitude between 700 and 1,500 m.
• 世界 : China.
